On the 18'th of July 1996, i was born at Gleneagles Hospital as a tiny, ugly and pink little wriggling organism. i'm glad i don't have a photo of me when i was a day old, and even if i do, i don't think i'll be sharing. I started smiling on my 2nd day, and according to my mother, i smiled when my father sneezed right in front of my face. i'm not very sure what was so funny. ( i think i was laughing at his moustache)=)At February '97, i started crawling, no, NOT like an insect, like a human( On four legs. )
i did quite a lot of damage to the treasured family heirlooms when i started walking, like the shattered flower vases and the porcelain dolls that ended up in pieces on the floor . My parents began locking everything precious up or either placing it somewhere high above my reach. Pretty soon, my house was baby proof. anyway, that was when i was about 1 year old.
I started talking during August' 97 , and my first word was 'sweet!', which probably explains my EXTREMELY sweet tooth now.
i was forced to go for my first art class ( my mother was CONVINCED that i had an artistic talent) when i was 4 years old, and i can't say that i enjoyed it very much because i spent half ( or maybe the whole lesson)not drawing, but crying for my mother. Yes, crying, because the art teacher looked like some kind of mutated overwieght lioness( no kidding!), and all i drew was some weird blue tree with green clouds sticking out of it.Cool huh? isn't it wonderful that i began to show signs of extreme artistic talent at the age of 4?
As i used to live in a terrace, i would often go out to the garden and play with the wildlife there. which consists of some insects and two yellow butterflies. And a few ants if i'm not mistaken. But often, my mother's plants were my best playmates. I used to have so much fun uprooting them, trying to plant them back and them watching them wither the next morning.
My first kindergarten lesson was also when i was 4, and i attended Jurong Calvary Kindergarten. It's a church, and i still attend church on Sundays, at my oldkindergarten. How i miss kindergarten life, with all the colouring and the playgrounds and giggling during the national anthem and wailing and the sticky fingers after making cookies that were shaped like amoeba. one of the happiest days of my life was when i got my first pet when i was 5 years old. It was a Syrian hamster that was rather overweight( i think i kind of caused it) which i named ' Hammy'(yes, i know that's lame, but i was 5), and it died when it was 2 and a half years old.
my first primary school was obviously, Henry Park, and from there, i evolved into the person i am now. A primary six girl.
