when i watched that video, i was extremely touched by it and i really felt sorry for and respected Elizabeth Choy. ( no, i did not cry)her life was turned upside-down once the Japanese invaded Singapore. She lost her freedom, her husband and was left with nothing but the prison cell and the tortures to come.
In my opinion, Elizabeth Choy is a true heroine.
I think that she's really brave to be able to withstand the tortures of war, like the electrocution, and the prison cells and it's not like that's a five-star holiday to Italy or France or something. i think if I even saw the electric tongs, i would just faint or die of a heart attack on the spot. ( and hopefully never wake up)she's also very loyal to not utter a single word about who were the anti-Japanese even though she was put through extreme torture. she braved all that just to protect her country and her people. she should be elected to become president of Singapore. Not many normal citizens would sacrifice that much for their country.
I think i would not be able to do the same as her if i was in that sort of situation. I also think that electrocuting people is like, really really horrible and gross. I mean, what kind of monster electrifies people? Elizabeth Choy must have gone through a LOT of physical as well as mental torture. In my mind, she's a real heroine and it's a really sad that she died. And she isn't even angry with the horrible, evil, Satan-like, terrible, maniacal, ruthless Japanese soldier retards who tortured her so much for just a few names , she just said that she didn't want any more war. And i think i agree with her.
What a peaceful person.
If i had MY way, i would insult the Japanese SO much on this blog, but i don't want to offend CERTAIN people who are Japanese.( and i don't want to get sued either) So, anyway.
